Bobby Edwards

My name is Bobby Edwards, and I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University having already received my Bachelor's Degree in the same field from the same school. As a Master's student, I am primarily studying Mechatronics and Dynamics, with some Controls and Biomechanics sprinkled in.

I am originally from Danville, CA in the East Bay Area. I consider it the perfect distance from Stanford, as it is close enough to go home if I feel the need, but far enough away where I feel like I'm in a whole different place. It was a lovely place to grow up in, and I still enjoy going back home.

Outside of the classroom, I am an accomplished student-athlete as a 5 year member of the Stanford Varsity Men's Soccer Team. I helped my team transform from mediocre my first season to Pac-12 conference champs and top ranked in the nation during my last, which was truly one of my greatest ever achievements; a just reward for years of hard work and struggle. Despite spending significant time and energy training and traveling as a soccer player, I was able to achieve in a very difficult major, receiving First Team Pac-12 All-Academic Honors my senior year as well as being nominated for the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, awarded to student-athletes who excel both as students and athletes.

In the future, I look forward to transferring all of the great lessons I've learned on the field and classroom into the workforce.
