Unequally insecure: Racial Disparities in job insecurity in the US, 1979-2011

Disparities between B-W workers are increasing:
- across the age distrbituion
- in the private sector
- inside cities
- among least educated, but also among those seekign college education
- in professional/managerial jobs, and probably alos skilled blue-collar jobs
- Meanwhile, they remian particularly high in technical/sales and administrative jobs
- Patterns partially resemble the older deindustrializetion/segregationt heory, but the occupational distribution in particular suggests the ned for a new explanation for a new oera of racial stratification in the economy
