Every spring, I perform a few poems (as a part of the Stanford Spoken Word Collective) at a school assembly at Jordan Middle School in Palo Alto, CA. As a future physician and artist/poet, I'm interested in pushing the boundaries of what effective science communication can look like. These final artifacts communicate an aspect of science in an unconventional way in order to provide opportunity for reflection, the deconstruction of bias, and the imagination of creative solutions.
