I found an interesting trend in my teaching evaluations: it seems like I got higher rates for more advanced courses.  I think this could be due to the fact that I often tried to stress the underlying ideas and overall pictures.  In contrast I was rather reluctant to summarize problem solving into mechanical steps or give relevant formulas or even provide complete solutions.
