Gymnastics Coaching - January 2012 - present

I was a competitive gymnast up through my sophomore year of high school.  When I quit, I knew I wanted to be a coach, but I did not have the time or opportunity until coming to Stanford.  There is a recreational gymnastics program that runs out of the Stanford gym, so I get to teach 1 or 2 hour long classes to little girls.  I primarily coach 6-9 year olds.  It's true what they say, that if you love your job it's not work.  Getting to teach little girls how to do gymnastics and spending time with them is always the highlight of my day, the kids unfailingly make me smile after I've had a long day of classes.  I was inpired my my old coaches, who were amazing people and role models for me, and I knew I wanted to be like them and do the same for other kids.
