During the Summer of 2011, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity of participating in a unique program that Stanford offers called Arts Intensive. This program is 3 weeks long in which you take a class in a topic of your choice, with a top professor. My arts intensive focused on design thinking and expanding creativity in the product design field.

 

The project that I chose to display here is the final project for the course. Our assignment was to redesign the pasta experience after investigating the topic through interviews, field trips and personal experience (learning to make pasta). My group chose to explore pasta as a fun medium for self-expression. And so Word of Mouth Pasta was born.  As part of the project we also created a vision video of our design concept which I have included here for further explanation:

This was our display for the final presentation of the class. On our display you can see our motto (Pasta that speaks. No matter what.) and our packaging prototypes and pasta samples.
