Sample Syllabi

On this page you will find three syllabi that I have created. The first is for a German language literature course, a version of which I am scheduled to teach in Winter 2015. The second syllabus was co-created with Anne Newman, Assistant Director of the Center for Ethics in Society at Stanford, and we taught it in Fall 2014 for the Hope House Scholars Program, at Hope House, a halfway house for women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. As a syllabus for an interdisclipinary course with a non-traditional audience, it is by necessity very different from the other two, which are meant to be used in traditional undergraduate classrooms. Finally, the third syllabus is for an English-language comparative literature course across multiple types of media.
