An orientation to ePortfolios was given by Dr. Helen L. Chen, Director of ePortfolio Initiatives, on Friday, March 8th 2013.  This information session was attended by over 40 students.  Selected slides with accompanying links that were presented at the meeting are below.

Artifacts could be any kind of multimedia representation of your learning such as an article, essay, photo of your lab group, a chart, of a video of a presentation you've given.  The owner of an ePortfolio is typically a student but can also be a group or lab, or even a department or institution in cases of accreditation or program evaluation.

 

At Stanford, we have focused on building a culture of folio thinking that prioritizes the pedagogy and practice of ePortfolios and reflective thinking and not the technology and the tool.
